Flip Learning: the Lesson Before the Lesson!

Feel like you're winning even before you see the tutor.

We use MathsWatch's model: they have produced a video explaining how to do every topic at GCSE, KS3 and Primary.

We will ask students, using this system, to watch a (5-10 minute) video clip before they see us (aka homework). We will follow up with a one-minute video review, and then discuss exam-standard (for GCSE) questions on that topic.

Flip Learning has only been in the UK for a few years: a shame. Most of our students use this system now, and it's brilliant.

Bond No-Nonsense Books

Bond No Nonsense

For KS1 and KS2, these are absolutely ideal.

Each section is pithy (short), and always hammers home an important skill.

Bond Assessment Papers

These books are differentiated by "age" (ability).

Some students cope best when they're presented with one topic at a time, and we plan for this accordingly.

However, we like that these papers throw various topics at the student:

This approach is effective in highlighting areas for development in our students' abilities.
